· Going to Mount Merapi Museum: the museum is located in the village of Donoharjo, Sleman, Yogyakarta. It was established in 2009, in October to be exact. The museum has a magnificent garden and huge parking areas to accommodate the tourists. The museum has a motto “Merapi Volcano, Merapi Earth Window”. This destination is a famous educational attraction for tourists, because you can learn a lot about the volcano’s origin and its eruption’s history. It will surely enlighten your knowledge about nature’s greatness.
· Drinking Wedang Gedang: at the eastern side of Kaliurang, near the village of Kinahrejo to be exact, a traditional drink, that is famous among tourists, are sold with remarkably cheap price in many stalls within the village. Its name, Wedang Gedang, means Banana Drink. Living up to its name, the main ingredient of this drink is chopped banana. It is served with warm sauce created from numerous herbs, such as cinnamon, brown sugar, pandan leaves and ginger. It will give you a warm feeling while enjoying the cool breeze on high latitude.
